On 20th October 2023, Jersey celebrated “World Calvados Day” at David Hick Interiors (St Lawrence).
Throughout the day, Maison de la Normandie et de la Manche hosted a “calvados tasting” with 4 different calvados and other apple-based drinks (Double Jus, Petit Zef, cider, sparkling apple juice…). Various fun games were also organised in order to learn more about Calvados and its making process.
Thanks to a partnership with various local companies and organisations, the attendees had also the opportunity to try some wonderful delicacies: chocolates from Ganache, cookies from BSK, apple tarts and baguettes from Bruno’s Bakery and savoury finger-food galettes from Cocorico!
To complement the French atmosphere, two cars were on display: the brand new Renault Austral hybrid (thanks to Falles Motor) and a vintage Citroën 2CV (thanks to Le Riche automobiles) !
