Papillons de Nuit – or Butterflies of the Night – will be arising again in May, cementing its reputation as the cultural beacon of Normandy.

Papillons’ music policy is vast, sometimes pulling in the young shoots of rock, other times the cream of electro, however underlying that is its passionate loyalty and pride in its local scene. A real staple of Saint-Laurent-de-Cuves, the local population shy of 500 are all involved in the festival in some way, so when the likes of Iggy Pop, David Guetta and Phoenix come to town, it’s extra special.

Running since 2001, the festival has grown to a capacity of 70,000 becoming the biggest music event in Normandy, continuing to deliver both musically and also socially to Saint-Laurent-de-Cuves, creating an infectious personal and welcoming atmosphere.
